ABOUT
Troll Times is a wandering theatre show based on a tale of an orphan, Magnus, who begins a journey to discover who and what he is, at a time when people hide behind the city walls, while giant kings and their armies plunder the land.
Magnus is not alone on his quest. He is accompanied and protected by sister Ada. Along the way they discover new and strange creatures, both friendly and hostile, familiar and unknown. It is the time of the trolls.
This compelling show explores the relationship between man and nature – the tiny human versus gigantic nature – while exploring Norwegian mythology and finding inspiration in Portuguese culture. Interpreted by Portuguese artists and staged by a Portuguese/Norwegian duo, Troll Times invites reflection on the past and present, on similarities and differences, the familiar and the unknown, while simultaneously incorporating work with the local community.
